Anyone ever replace the fuel sending unit in their 2500? GM has been quoting me anywhere from about $670 to $750!! I found out that the ones from the 3500 are quite a bit cheaper. Does anyone know if they will interchage, or what the differences are? The part #s are 89060639 for the 2500s and 89060641 for the 3500s.

Or is there a fix for the sending units in these trucks??

Just looking for some options.

Ya, I managed to stumble across the second one...that is what got me started on if it would work or not. Different part #, but you never know...lots of GM's parts are interchangable.

its probably because they are trying to sell you the GASSER sending unit, which has the fuel pump integrated into it. ;)

duramax does not have an electric fuel pump.
