I just installed my MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust and PPE Economy box. I installed the 120hp tune and everything runs fine. How long will my stock tranny last on this tune if I dont abuse it all the time.

not long, stock tranny is only good for about 90 extra horse power and thats playing with fire.

I have had mine set on the 160 tune and 225 tune for about 8k and have not limped it yet and it shifts fine, that being said I don't drive like an idiot and don't go through the shifts from 3-4.4-5and5-6 at wide open.

x2 ;) At least a shift kit should be installed though IMHO. Like redneck, with the shift kit - it handles the power fine, but I don't really get on it often and accelerate easy when on the highway in 5th or 6th.

PPE is rated at the crank . Most people get away with up to 90-100 rwhp extra !!

I was not one of those guys though...........so don't be suprised if you limp it !!

I put my truck back on the 90 horse tune just so it will last a while

I had a very detaled conversation with ppe abot the same thing but I got the ppe hot and they said as long as i dont do hard launches all of the time and keep the foot off the carpet it will last as long as you would like

If you do a search , you will see most limps come from the 4-5 shift or rolling into it 5th !!

If you can keep from getting on it hard in the 4-5 range, then you may go a long time without a limp. Personally , I have to pass people, open it up on a straight away , beat a ricer, or whatever that requires some 4-5 shifting or rolling into it on the hwy !!

I'd suggest keeping it down low or getting a tranny upgrade !!
