I just installed my juice and attitude about 2 weeks ago.:ro) I've been reading alot about them and can't believe all the info in regards to the edge boxes. I'm sure its somewhere in someones post but my eyes are going crazy. I'm already up till 4 in the morning reading all these posts.

How do you know if you have an updated version or flash or whatever its called? Were some versions better than others? Or does it really only matter if you really race, drag, beat the crap outta yer truck?

Very confused...

And very addicted...:D

The version number was just Edges's way of keeping track of each revision and the changes/improvements they made.

Some say that some versions are better than others........I think that may of been seat of the pants..........dyno numbers usually prove out the differences.

Look at the label on the Juice see what the version is.........mine is a Hot OJ version 4.81 and is Attitude ready........manufacture date should be on it is as well.

That's all there is to it

There haven't been any revisions in some time. If it's an LLY, the last one was in August. LB7 was well before that. The LLY is at 1.0, and the LB7 is at 4.81.

I just received a replacement box from Edge, produced 11/16/04 according to the label on the side, version was 4.81i.

I have the non-Attitude version 4.61 90hp box.

Would I see any gains/benefits having it upgraded to the newest version (I'm assuming it's v4.81 now)? I've been toying with the idea of getting it upgraded to the 125 hp Hot Juice, but I don't want to kill my stock tranny...

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

4.81i means integrated...........
Aaron from Edge had told me that it had something to do with the Attitude IIRC........

This is a tough one, but my position is that if you do not need the Attitude, and are having no issues, I'd keep what you have rather than risk having any problems with the new integrated units. The older ones were the most reliable. You can upgrade the programming only on yours if you want higher HP.

Hi Guys, I'm new here. After dozens of bids on ebay, I finally won an Edge w/Juice I think reasonably. Mfd date of 7/12/04 ver 4.81i. Reading all the recent postings this sounds to me to be the most current version. I see mentioned in the postings the i in the version 4.81i means it's an integrated unit?? What does this mean?? Please help me out all wise ones.
