I started with a '93 Sierra 3500, then bought a '97 Silverado 3500. I liked the back seats in them because they had a slider to move them forward and back. There was plenty of room under the seat. I could also tilt the back of the seat forward to access all of the junk I like to carry with me. Now I have an '07 Silverado 3500 and I don't like the back seat anymore. I can't tilt the back of the seat forward without lifting the seat up, which I can't do unless I move the front seats forward. I don't have any room for my subwoofers and amps behind or under the seat. I don't like leaving the back seats in the platform position because I'm afraid I might rip the leather if the seat folds down on top of my jumper cables, toolbox, etc. Plus the fact that I need the seat to carry passengers. Is this the first year they've put this style backseat in the 3500's? I'm thinking that maybe I can go to a junkyard and find a seat from an older model and replace mine. I work in a machine shop, so I could fabricate any brackets or adapters. Has anybody done this?

They've been like that since the new body design in '99.

Oh, that far back, huh? I had my last truck for almost 10 years and haven't really keep up with all of the changes in the new models.

Yea the back seat bug's the piss out of me too.....Same issues. Thinking captains and a center consle should do the trick nicely.
