Is there anyone who has plated off the EGR on these 6.5's. I want to block the EGR so I don't fill up the intake with all that crap. Is this going to throw a code?

Sorry just got back in town or I would have answered the PM on this topic you sent.

Yes you can blank it off I used a 18 ga piece of sheet metal traced to the pattern of the EGR valve & drilled 2 bolt holes in it, and sealed with hi temp RTV(red). EGR position is monitored as feed back from firewall baro vs WG solenoid flow, as long as you leave that intact it should not throw a code, this is why just plugging a EGR valve vac line on L56 trucks can set a code. Try it if it doesn't work remove the shim, for me it worked. Of course I only block mine off when off roading when I need the extra pulling torque, we all know bypassing emission equipment is a no no.
