Truck is an 02 Chevy DMax 3/4 ton with 240000kms
Never had any problems until now.

Truck cranked over, started and ran until I put it in gear. Stalled. Cranked and nothing, no firing at all.

Tapped computer on side of motor, ran hand primer on fuel filter, no resistance at first and then hard to pump. Climbed back in and it fired up. No trouble since (it's been 1 day).

Has anyone had this problem? I don't want to be stranded somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you lost prime. How long had it sat before you started it and it died?

Could be a fluke, or you could have anything from some cracked hoses back at the tank, a bad O ring on the filter, leaking bleed valve, loose WIF sensor on the bottom of the filter, or hopefully not a cracked filter housing. Any recent work on the truck? fuel filter?

The more info you give on exactly what happened the better your chance of some one having the same issue and solving it.

About a month ago, I started mine in the morning (cold) and after it idled for a minute, I went to take off, and the truck just died.
I cranked it, but it would not start. I then pumped the manual prime at the filter about 10 times, and it started right up.
I have had no problems since then until today.
Today, it does the dying thing every time I have started it.
It did it in the morning going to work, at lunch at work, and after work.
I am in school until 10:00pm, I hope it makes it home.
I have 93000 mi on a LB7 2001.
I am interested in some answers as well .
Did you get your truck fixed yet? what was the problem?
Any experts have suggestions ?
I can't see a dirty fuel filter causing it, as I only have 6-7000 mi on this one.
THanks
B

I guess it is not that big of a problem.........since he has not checked back in.

Sounds like what Sparky said to me to.
