I've talked to a few guys who use the Hypertech 3 stage programmer and they all say that it is a smooth, well tuned unit and report no problems. I was just wondering why they are not as popular as some of the others like TTS and Edge? From what I have been reading and disscussing it seems to be comparable with TTS although maybe not as fine tuned but still smoother then the edge. I don't want to start a war just curious thats all.
P.S.
(Smooth = Feels like stock only more powerful)

I have the LLY and the guys that I have talked to own one or the other and the egts are on par with edge but I don't know about a comparison with TTS egt's. How much higher are the egt with the TTS 50 hp tune for the LLY then with a stock tune either with or without a 4" exhuast?

I had a hypertech and got rid of it. It's a kick in the pants, but it's harsh compared to what I get with the Banks I have. I'd shy away, my tranny didn't seem to appreciate how rough it was.

I've been running the Hypertech for about 45 days now and I've had no problems to report. Runs smooth and no problems with the transmission. I only run it on stage II though. Mac

I ran a Hypertech on stage 3 all of the time. No issues whatsoever. I wanted to upgrade to more power, so I bought a Banks 6-Gun. Stage 3 on the Hypertech runs about 15.4 in the 1/4 mile on an LB7. Not too bad for $330.

Any of you guys that had a Hypertech, did you have any problems on uploading on an LT trim package with OnStar?
I'm waffling between a standard Edge, (no attitude), or a programmer.
I know the pro's and con's of both, so I don't need to be sold on the merits of each type.
Compared to most here, I baby my truck, very few WOT starts or runs and I pull about 6200lbs.
I've pulled stock to Hilton Head, SC and back through the mountains and and only had a few downshifts from overdrive.
So, I don't need big power, (yea I know, it's like crack for a truck), but would like just a tad more.
The features of a programmer kind of appeal to me but I'm not real keen on messing with the ECM if it's a bear to load on LT electronics.
The ideal product for me would be a Juice with a code reader/clearer.
I don't really want to purchase both.
