: LBZ QCSB Miles Per Tank??

How many miles per tank is everyone getting with their LBZ QCSB??

Since I actually started paying attention to it, my best is 346 Miles out of 1 tank...which doesn't seem that good to me.

Does this seem right or is it a lil low??

All of my driving is mixed highway / city.

I am dangerously close to 400...haven't quite made it yet, but I'm hoping a couple more mods will get me there. So close...like 385 0r 390.

485 regularly. Predator 120 tune towing 5000 pounds, 5 inch exhaust. This is ENTIRELY WITHOUT any pedal fun. Baby the hell out of it.

Not towing, with a bit of funny funny black smoke, still hitting 21 MPG.

Best I've gotten is 492 miles before low fuel light came on. Then drove another 15 miles to fuel station for a total of 507. Still only took 23.36 gallons to fill to the neck. There should have been nearly 3 gallons left. This was mostly highway light on throttle to Wisconsin but going through Chicago killed me according to my DIC. I dropped a full 1 mile per gallon on the DIC.

Ok, it looks like I'm not too far off...I do have a fair amount of "pedal play" but I'm not flooring it everywhere.

Factory Allison handles all that programming? Look at your setup man, your jacked up and have huge tires. Gas isnt going to be great, but I think it should be slightly better than what it is.

Queer Cab Short Bed (sorry, I couldn't resist)? Didn't realize GM had changed the designation from "Crew Cab" to "Quad Cab"; but then, I own an Extended Cab and haven't paid attention.

Those of you with a 26 gal tank and mixed highway/city, you are breaking 340?!?! WTF! I have just about 30K on the OD and still hitting about 18-20. Over the road I will get between 22-24 on the best day, going down hill, with the wind behind me, etc. I had one tank that had excellent mileage and no one believed me. Now it seems that most of the posters here are getting those "crazy" numbers. Some with stock, some with mods. What am I missing?!?!?!

I am in the same boat. I get giddy when I clear 350 miles with the Low Fuel Indicator on! I usually refill around 300.

That kind of fuel mileage was with the stock 245 pizza cuters, and with my old 285's BFG Mud terrains, and now with my 325's. I only use the predator to adjust for the tire size, and only run the edge juice on level 2 (40 hp) so it's not like it's all hopped up or nothing, I just think there's something wrong with the truck cause it's been like this since day one.

Filled mine up today and checked it again, as I do every time. It went 249 miles and it took 19.889 gallons to fill it up. I figured it on paper, but have NOT adjusted my programming for the 285 70 17 tires I have, so I really don't know how far off the speedo is..............

470 with a gallon and a half left in the tank.

I felt like I was getting bad mileage with my 315/70/17 tires, but I still get consistently 400 miles to the tank (when not towing) before the low fuel light comes on. H2 tires are exactly 13% off from the stock tire calibration on my truck. I go by the GPS when I calculate the mileage.

Was averaging 17.3 MPG. Now I added cat back exhaust and they switched the fuel to winterized. I am getting 16.6MPG. THAT COMPUTED TO 431 MILES PER TANK. Does anyone know how much MPG winterized fuel should kill mpg? My buddies are also complaining of significant MPG loss on winterized fuel. Thanks.

I normally fill up with about 23.5-24.5 gallons. 16.5mpg average = 387-404miles. I think I have hit 450 miles on a tank when I was near empty (25.5 gallons to filler neck) and mostly highway miles.

I leveled the truck and put bigger tires on and my in town has dropped to 13-14 mpg (edge evo corrected speedo) and my highway is roughly 18mpg. I pulled down 21.5 mpg on ONE highway trip on stock tires before.

I fill at a quarter and almost every time it's around 300 miles and 20 gal of fuel. All city driving. I've been playing with this since I bought the truck. Exhaust made no difference. Programming at 85 w/ a Predator took it down about 1 mpg. Stanadyne made a difference of about 1 mpg when added.

I may try the fingerstick/blocker next...

First timer here, with the bigger tank in my LBZ 2WD LWB CC and 12,000 miles on the odometer, I average 530 miles to a tank and fill it back up with @ 30 gallons of fuel. That is mixed city/highway driving.

Have a good one,
Kirk
ps. sorry forgot, all stock.

I dont get it. When I baby the truck I AVERAGE 28 MPG. When I drive the hell out of it, I still get 25, hand calculated time and time again. I have even seen as high as 32, unloaded, now that a cold snap has come about. Towing I see 25-26 all the time. Why is my truck different?

But when it was stock with just the programmer I was getting over 400 mixed city/hwy all the time!!!
