This is sort of off the track so to speak but I have an oil question and I figure one of the august gentlemen here might be able to provide the answer.

I just purchased a pre-owned motor home on a Kodiak chassis (06) and it's powered by a Duramax (wheee!). I am going to switch over to Amsoil 15-40 this week and interestingly enough; the onboard generator (Onan 5500 Quiet Diesel) also requires 15-40 oil. DO you think it will be OK running the Amsoil in the generator? It would sure make it more convenient carrying only one type of oil for everything.

As long as the oil meets the Onan specs, go for it.
