h20addict 10-08-2007, 11:54 AM I'm having the same issue myself right now. I soldered everything as instructed, and checked for voltage in the blue wire, so I know thats not it. Really want to get things sorted out so I can get my turbo back ordered.
NCMIC 10-08-2007, 12:02 PM make sure everything is soldered and tere are no cold solder joints.
rhino plastic 10-09-2007, 06:11 AM just a follow up the codes that where set where a p101 p104 had them cleared and now the light stays off. but the truck seams a little loaggy down low .i dont konw if its me or what .have you guys noticed any performance loss from the finger and block:cool:
23250r 10-09-2007, 06:55 AM I didn't notice any change with the finger stick and block plate.
No change with the BS/FS. Perceptions can be tricky sometimes, or there could be something else going on.
neubauej 10-09-2007, 10:35 AM Did you add the blocker plate too? If so, check to be sure it is sealed correctly.

Hey I'm in the Binghamton area, Pm me if you would like some help. Also a bad egr could cause cel to come on, but if you weren't getting it before then chances are that the wiring could be wrong or have a loose connection. I had a cel come on a coulple of weeks after the install, I cleared and it never came back. That was about 10k miles ago.
Fuelman 10-09-2007, 06:24 PM I had the same problem. I re-soldered all the conns and still did not help. I took it out and ordered a new stick and it works fine. I know it was not the conns because I did not cut out the soldered conns from first stick, just butt spliced in the new stick. Therefore the problem was the stick.

I have heard of bad sticks also.
Coolbreeze 10-09-2007, 09:00 PM All this talk of soldering is likely some of the problem. Solder isn't the best connection just a way of mechanically securing connections and a cheaper way to do things in the electronic world. Tie the copper wires together first then put solder on them. As with everything there is a right and wrong way to do it.

minisub 10-19-2007, 11:01 PM just a follow up the codes that where set where a p101 p104 had them cleared and now the light stays off. but the truck seams a little loaggy down low .i dont konw if its me or what .have you guys noticed any performance loss from the finger and block:cool:
Well, since you don't have a sig so we know what truck and mods you have and the garages are down, I am just going to take a WAG here and assume you might have an aftermarket intake? Perhaps one with an oiled filter element?
101 and 104 are NOT EGR codes....;)
Fingers 10-19-2007, 11:16 PM But they are MAF codes. Stick gets plugged inserted into the MAF signal wire
RockHopper 10-21-2007, 01:00 AM I hope this isn't a very stupid question. I'm new to the world of diesels and i'm trying to learn all this stuff. Can I get a brief explanation of what a finger stick is? Thx

Don't feel bad we have all had questions like this. Keep reading and you'll learn alot!

X2, my first stick didn't work but the replacement works fine.
BUT, he is referencing MAF codes so I don't know if it would be stick related as FINGERS said. However, while I was messing with the first stick, the truck did throw a P0101 once and went into a limp mode. I have the stock intake and have never figured out what caused that. Only happened once but that would cause a reduction in power. Fingers, would a bad EGR Position Input connection effect any of the MAF signals?
