Have you had any trouble with the wait to start light staying on too long?

Yes. It was the glow plug controller.

I went through 3 or 4 with my 04 LLY.

I voted no.

For the longest time, I thought the lock symbol was the wait to start light. Poking around in the manual, I discovered this was wrong. Now that things are getting cooler, I see it on occasion if I don't blink.:)

I had my truck less than a year when the glow plug light started staying on for 20-30sec. It was replaced. If your module has the yellow dot of paint on it and you are having this issue then it needs to be updated. The updated ones have a green dot of paint on them.

Nope. Mine turns off in about 1 second.

Voted no on this one, but have yet to check what color dot is on the module....hoping its green

My glow plug light has been staying on so I called the dealer and he said I should bring it in and it most likely wouid be covered under warranty. I have 50,000 miles on my truck. I haven't taken it in since the last few times I've started my truck the glow plug light is acting normal. I talked to the dealer and he said if it was not staying on to just wait, so I'm waiting.
