What do you guys suggest to be the best 4" exhaust out there. No highway drone or horrible sound when you get on it?

I was looking at banks, but i heard some stories of lost power with that system.

If you are not looking for noise and just out for a better flowing exhaust I would suggest Flo-Pro..

Dont get me wrong, i love to hear that turbo whisle, but not to where it sounds horrible when you get on it.

Something to where you can tell that it is not stock!!

I personally have a MBRP catback and there's a little more rumble than stock. Not really much more turbo whistle. If you want more flow and no noise check out Corsa (very pricey) or TTS (DP Vendor). They are said to be the quietest. MBRP seems to be the exhaust of choice and a pretty good value, I paid ~$385 shipped to my door for the catback in 409 stainless from Performance Truck Parts (DP Vendor).

What kind of stories have you heard about Banks? I have a couple of Banks Monster systems and have installed 5-6 others for my friends and everyone has been very pleased, as in no drone, no excessive noise, and a very nice sound on the outside. The muffler is fullsize pipe straight through so I don't know of any restrictions. I have been exceptionally pleased with the quality. You have me curious now on what you have heard.

dirtavg- MBRP is our top seller by far for the Duramax. They have three different materials to choose from as well as two different configurations ie. turbo-back or cat-back. Feel free to give us a call with any questions.

I have heard on this web site that people were complaning that they lost power on the bottom end.

I believe that is with the use of front pipes and removal of the cat from what I've seen on here. My catback didn't lose me any power as far as I can tell. It still gets up and goes empty or with my stock trailer and a couple tons of horses.

On Banks they do make a fine quality, overpriced product that will fall apart with some age. I had a system that I swapped between my last 2 Furds and the muffler fell apart with less than 50K between the 2 trucks. I'm personally sold on MBRP, same quality of materials as Banks for about half the price.

This last summer I install TTS exhaust system, down pipe back I dont have a Cat on my truck, I guess I;m one of the lucky one. Very litle noise under sixty and no noise or drone at all. I.m very happy with this product and no loose of power either, I can hear the turbo whistle.
