Hi,

I am very green first truck, first diesel. I just got this truck (94 6.5L C2500 P/U). Just came back from a bad experience with the dealer, per your recommendation, I rescued the truck.

Finally found a recommended diesel truck guy, but I have to wait a week for him to fit my truck on his lot. Worth the wait. Truck is running okay (DTC 35), but I haven't hauled yet, just did oil change, new belt, and tranny flush.

Plan to do the recommended upgrades recommended here, including radiator flush, install Heath Severe Clutch Fan, new 180 thermostat, etc. But, I am anxious to get an experience eye on the engine to see issues I am dealing with. I am going to have the Diesel guy check the IP/lift pump, and OPS.

QUESTION, What is this? (See pics) There is this piece of wiring attached to a metal molded mounting frame, with welding breaks. Clearly broke off Where was this attached to? Its just sitting on engine. See picture, I pointed to it in YELLOW.

Thanks.

If I am looking at it right it is the mount for the vacuum solenoids, it had broken before and someone tried weld it but broke again, its not a have to get mounted back on but it should to save the vacuum lines that can get kind of brittle!

Thanks. Where is it mounted to? The attached lines do seem worn.

Dealer or auto wrecker. It mounts right about where you have it in the picture #1. If your truck doesn't have an EGR you'll only have 1 soleniod where the picture in previous post show 3 solenoids.
