Can you tell me what the max torque rating the Allison is designed for? I have heard of people using chips to gain more power and having the trans slip. More power isgreat but don't want to tear up trans.

Tear it up. They all tear up. Nobody makes a stock tranny that can handle big power.

The Allison is rated at 545

I've been running propane with over 600 tq. 60,000 miles and tranny has been flawless. There is a measure of computer protection.

I wouldnt add over a 100hp with the stock trans, the Juice is nice as it detects slip and will back the power down to protect the trans.
