What are the DOT Federal Laws about fuel tanks. How much can a truck carry.
when does it have to have fuel stickers?

I have been told up to 105 gallons. Most guy's around here carry up to that amount in their pickups without any placards.

I think i passed that 105 mark about 49 gals ago. Do you know if its checked much?
How do i get a placards for a pickup. should i get one?
Truck is private reg non-commercial plates

I only believe it is for the aux. tank. With what you have, I wouldn't worry about it. As for placards, the DMV would be where I would have to go.

Thanks, must be why Transferflow doesn't make a tank over 100gal.

you can run 105 gal legally as an aucillary tank not powering the vheicle, some bigger tanks can be put between the frame rails.

my aux tank does not power the vehicle it only transfer to the main tank when needed. onboard computer controled

Where is best place to put line from tank in bed to fuel tank. I will use a valve for free flow and only flow fuel when stopped. I was thinking of the vent line but not sure of system at the tank whether it will flow that way or not.
