What year and brand (Chev or GMC) truck? Up to '98 have taillamp board problems.

Seperate fuse for the LR+RR brake lights; it's in the fuse panel inside the drivers door.

By LF I hope you mean left rear, unless your truck has those new-fangled front brake lights...

Make sure you checked the correct fuses.

You have:
Lt brk
Rt brk
Lt trl
Rt trl

Time to break out the test light... start at the pedal switch and go from there... fuse hot side, fuse load side, light socket...

If you have a towing package follow the wires back the the main wires could be a bad connection,. I lost my running lights to my trailer at that connection. I hope this will help.

It is a "CrewCab" not a "QuadCab", so that might be your problem?

No really, I had a 96 Blazer and stuff quit working, and it turned out to be a Multifunction switch located somewhere around the steering column, I DO NOT KNOW if this is applicable to these trucks, but that was a thought that comes to my mind.

I am having the exact problem with my 2006. Chased the wires and fuses and see that there is a separate circuit to the trailer connection that works fine (as does the center brake light). It seems that the dedicated tail light circuit for stop lights is dead, although the turn signals (same bulbs) work fine??? Seems to me that it has to be in the control for the turn/brake signal circuit. Anyone?

Search "flasher module" as it affects trailer lamp operation or mis-operation.

It might be the grounds are common and the problem.

Thanks Arcing. After I posted, I looked in my 1999 Silverado service manual, and the wiring is identical! I chased the power through the junction blocks and found that the brake lights had power when the brakes were applied. I had previously inspected the bulbs and the filaments were good. However, when I unplugged and replugged the bulb the light came on! Same with the other side... I was debating checking the ground side of the bulbs, What are the odds of both bulbs being bad, I thought. Well, its fixed now, and if the problem comes back I will try new bulbs.
