I have 31,+ on my 02 DMax. What's the best oil or package to switch to..??

What are you using now. Any good 15-40, diesel rated is okay. Valvoline, Shell, Penszoil, Citgo, Schaeffer's (Blend), are all good and there are others. There are synthetic's to but I think its a waste of money unless you put in a good filtering system and replace about three quarts every 6-7Kmiles, thats proviodong you have the oil tested to be sure nothing is wrong in the engine. Good filters are a must to.

Costco has RPM Delo 15-40
Sams has Shell Rotella 15-40
Both are by the case and both are good diesel rated motor oils.

Rotella T-40 is the best. Run it in the truck and boat

I've run a lot of Rotella-T, both the 15W40 dino version and the 5W40 semi-syn. Have also gotten good service and excellent oil analysis results from Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W40.

I have much easier starts with less smoke when it is cold with Rotella T 5W30 synthetic. Also, running across the desert at over 100* temps are not as high. From Wal Mart, only 12.88 per gallon so not much more than conventional oil with the added piece of mind.
