Just don't try to use DEX III in a DEX VI system. For a top off when adding the filter, if you're NOT changing the fluid, why not use the DEX III anyway? It will cost less than the DEX VI for just needing one quart. If you change your mind and decided to do the whole fluid route, then one of the TES-295 clones is an excellent option.
