After replacing 5 sets of junk Vatozone pads because they crack and fall apart (even with my grandma driving and she got 170K out of stock Cavalier pads) I won't be buying any more of thier junk brakes.

I never had any problems with Autozone brake pads or Rotors.

i just upgraded to the DURALAST GOLD Ceramic pads yesterday, i did have the semi-mettalic pads, JUNK!! not even 1 year on them!!!! they craked and rusted all up, the inner pads wore down to nothin, ate my rotors.
the best thing about auto zone pads, LIFETIME WARRNENTY!!!

AND OH YEA, they were dusty as all HELL!!!!

OE pads work well on the half ton's. I always had really good luck out of the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on my 15oo's when I was in high school (insanely rough on a truck). Had to wash the wheels weekly though

The stock pads last 100K+ on most trucks and the dust is minimal, why wouldn't you just put those back on?

I’m still on my original pads and they look new. If I ever have to get replacements, I’ll go stock!!!! And not have to worry about them for another 7+ years.

X3..I've tried the generic pads and they basically were junk.

OEM for me...

I would go with ebc yellow stuff also. Helps prevent brake fade. Also some power slot cryogenically frozen rotors! Just my opinion

I have almost 200k miles on mine and they are only about 40% gone, when I replace them I might document the milage. Stock brakes are very good. 3rd Truck that went to 200k on oem brakes

I just installed powerslot rotors and hawk pads all the way around. Rotors were shot with rust. Inside pads on the front were not making contact any more, limited contact with the rear. Rust appears to be a real problem, likely from all the salt and magnesium chloride on the highways in the winter. Happy with the upgrade and better stopping performance, especially since I tow heavy in the summer. Work done with 91,000 km on truck.
