this may sound dumb but have to ask if a lifter/rocker not working right or not at all would it cause fuel to come out around a injector? i replaced the injector few weeks ago and after it runs awhile fuel starts to leak around the injector maybe the ticking noise i hear?

Does it leak from around the injector line or lower?

If at injector line, might be loose or may have dirt in the line / injector interface. I've had real good luck torqueing the lines with crows foot and torque wrench.

If lower, injector issue.

Lifter should not cause a fuel leak. A lifter rocker could cause some noise and / or poor performance.

Ditto on the injector line/nut if its leaking there. If it leaks at the head you might want to pull the injector and check the copper washer. Washer/gasket might not be there or you might have 2 of them on it.
