I have the MBRp system set to be here soon, and I was looking at getting the stock muffler and tailpipe out of the 08 GMC. I have a short bed crew cab, and there does not look to be much room.

Is it possible to remove tht section without a lift? Maybe by just jacking up the rear of the truck?

Thats how got mine up I just put a few blocks of wood, on floor jack and jacked it up. There still some twisting and turning but it comes out.

I ended up cutting the musket tip off of the stock exhaust to get mine out. I took off the spare tire for more room, I placed a jack stand under the right side of the axel and I kept the jack under the pumpkin. Probably wouldn't of had to cut if I had a way to lift the frame. Took me around 2 hours or so. I spent 15 minutes polishing that damn tip...trying to get all my finger prints off. :cool:
