Problems began with hard restarts on a warm engine. A little puff of white smoke on starting (had to be at the tailpipe to see it). I noticed immediately when my oil level increased.

The dealer's (Macmulkin S Nashua NH) service manager had no issue with the Banks ("Diesel tuners? I like 'em.") on it. They had the truck for seven days or so.

No fault codes stored. FRP flow at 3900, Spec is 800-1100. Diag as injectors failed and leaking down. Replaced all 8 injectors per 04039A special policy. Extra time to remove frozen return pipe on left side, had to cut off. Replaced all 8 high pressure lines corroded and leaking. Changed engine oil only an recheck. ok. Total $0.00.

Ran like a champ the 25 highway miles home. I feel like I dodged a bullet.:)

You did dodge a bullet, and got great customer service at that!

Congrats. Too bad they all don't go that smoothly.

Glad to hear it can go smoothly as it should. Any chance that dealer would replace the injectors under warranty on my GMC ?

Massena, do you have any "injector friendly" dealers in your area?
How's the maneuverability of your truck w/ a trailer? Are you glad you upgaraded to the LMM. I'm considering going to a 3500 SRW but am concerned about the long box and backing into some driveways with a 22' enclosed trailer.

Thanks,
Mike
