Is the bottom o-ring for the WIF sensor array supposed to be kind of touchy to get the right torque on the reinstallation of a new filter? I think I stripped the new filter threads slightly (i.e. o-ring was more exposed on one side when tight and sensor did not fit flush, minor fuel accumulation on outside bottom of unit by next morning so i suspected some leakage).

How tight do these things need to be? I tried again with another new filter and basically tightened as much as possible without stripping or jumping the filter threads. is there a better way? In addition, are we supposed to put a bit of oil on the WIF o-ring prior to install (i did, just a bit). I read all the threads I could find, including the excellent how to one with photos, but I believe the instructions/photos did not include reinstalling the WIF array (sorry if i missed it!).

Thanks.

I use a little Parker Super-O lube (http://www.parker.com/o-ring/Products/Lubes.htm) on the O-rings and rubber post seal. I also put a little lube on the threads. Silicone grease works good too... If not lubed the O-rings can roll over as the filter and WIF sensor are tightened (Hand tight on the WIF sensor and filter)

ok, so if i read you correctly, hand tight on the WIF thread is enough to prevent leaks? I cranked that sucker pretty good with a channel lock!

Thanks
