Yes, I've got an LB7....it wasn't specified in the Thread title. I see BC74 has an LLY. Should still get him into the low 13's, though.

DO you have a fuel rail shim kit or a lift pump?

You may be running out of fuel?

big country 74

Before I added the lift pump it seemed to die about 200' from the end. My best 1/4 without lift pump was a 14.0 @ 96mph. added the lift pump and she went 100.4mph/13.9

Can you look at your rail psi with your tuner? Does it drop way off?

big country 74

at the top end it does

I'd contact PPE and see if it is normal for them to see this. Does it drop off the same on all the tunes?

I live south of Stoughton.

I'd do this:

Fuel pickup (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/detail.cfm?ID=346)

and

Lift pump (http://www.hdiesel.com/productdetail.asp?ID=503)
or
Lift Pump with filters (http://www.hdiesel.com/productdetail.asp?ID=502)...and do some fuel delivery mods to bypass the factory filter.

PPE does sell a lift pump and I have not used or seen one in use. The FASS pumps I listed work awesome. From mild to wild, they will do everything you need. I use a TTS lift pump setup, but could not link to them so you can click and buy them like the other stuff I posted.

If you want a mechanical lift pump, the MITUSA works very well and will be as versatile as the FASS system. I like these a lot too! You can order that from Maximized Performance (http://www.maximizedperformanceinc.com/).

Lift pump will deffantly hold your rail pressure up for top end.

Here is a link to our lift pump. Sorry for the short decription on the site we are working on it.
http://www.pacificp.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_7&products_id=141

It is a 160GPH, internally adjustable regulator, rated for LSD & ULSD fuel. Hope this helps..

You can run a 12.77 with your setup? We have almost the same setup as you are running, except the Copilot. Are you doing something diff. or should most trucks with that setup be able to run that?

I dont think fasttoys has a tranny tune, just a copilot. I think he is runnig about the max you will see out of a truck that size for as close to stock as he is. He just has it setup right. Has anyone run the ET version yet to see what will run on the LBZ

My best to date is a low 13 @ 100.?? But I left soft,it was hot and humid, and I had just hot laped it. Next time I'm at the track It should go High 12's with the extra stuff I've done.

I had the stock trans with shift kit on the 13.66 run Bullydog Pup
Full Tranny w/Co pilot on the 12.77 pass / PPE Hot +2

I can't wait till spring to try it on the track! Good job on getting your truck to run those times! What EGT's do you get up to at the end of the track?

I almost Did the larger fuel pickup but was told by some knowlegable sources that their trucks run out of fuel around 1/4 tank . I think the guy in question should be aware some have a prob with this mod. I guess it doesnt matter on a race truck, but a daily driver this would be a PITA!

Some do, some don't. I'm in the same category that Ripm's in. Truck doesn't lay down at all....in fact, it pulls harder at the top end. Go figure.

Thanks. Sounds like a Co-Pilot is a good addition to the LBZ also.

I've had the aftermarket fuel pickup in my truck for over 30K miles and never had an issue. I have 5 very close buddies that have the pickup with no issues. I have not seen one that has issues, but all the trucks I know of have lift pumps running all the time. I don't see any reason not to install the pickup when doing lift pumps.
