I know this isn't the right place for this but you guys are such a wealth of knowledge I figured someone might be able to help me. My buddy was told by a GM dealership his 1991 Tracker needs a new computer. The cost would be $1300.00 for the computer, new, or $900.00 used. I figured that's a bit expensive, even in Canada, The vehicle is hardly worth that much. Would anybody know where I could find one at a somewhat more reasonable price? I live close enough to the border that I could drive to the states if it can't be shipped to Canada. It's a 1.6 litre with an Automatic, if it makes any difference.

Just a thought, but have you checked any junkyards?

I think you could probably get a rebuilt on a lot cheaper then that. IF he has the part #, post it. I and some others here have a few connections.

Thanks for the help I think we found a place that can install a rebuilt unit for $650.00 still a little steep but better than $900.00 for a used part.
