40-50 feet? That is really bad. There must be something bad.

I highly recommend Astro start. www.astroflex.com You will get 2000+ feet of range.

I ditto the astrostart comment. I haven't actually confirmed range but it has worked at all the distances I need it to.

However sometimes when I'm in a building and walking using the remote it seems like it'll drop the start sequence and wait to start, start then immediately shut off like it's being stolen. Other than that, top notch product with plenty of room for addons/accessories that you may wish to power on.

VR, there is something wrong if it is doing that. Contact me and we will try to sort it out.

The closest listed dealers to Texas are in IL and SD.

Is this thing hard to install yourself?

Yeah...360 miles is a little far for an install!

Which remote starter will work with the LB7 and does it allow the glow plugs to warm properly before starting?

HBruns, so far all I have sold haven't had any problems installing theirselves.

Fireman, the astro start mentioned above will do what you want. It monitors the wait to start circuit, when the light goes off, the truck starts.

VR-sounds like your tach sense or pass lock bypass isn't working, I'm leaning toward tach sense...

A few questions:

1A) How much for a astro start?

1B) Where can I get one?

2) do you have installation instructions?

3) Is this plug and play or is ther cutting and splicing of wires?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, where do you get an astrostart. I am in Southern California and I can't find anyone out here that carries them. After doing a lot of research Astrostart looks like by far the best remote starter there is. If anyone in Southern California is thinking of becoming a dealer I'll definitely be a customer. Was even thinking of becoming a dealer myself just to get my hands on one, but with two small kids and 60 hours per week of work I don't think I'd be very effective.

Max Power sells'em. PM him. I'm thinking of getting one, especially with the "start the bun warmer" feature.

Max Power provides pretty detailed instructions with the unit. If you know a thing or two about soldering, meters, and vehicle wiring, the install should be cake.

I have one and they rock! just make sure you get the DEI passlock bypass, I need to upgrade to it because every once and awhile the one that is in there will decide that it doesnt want to work anymore. PITA!!!

He's popular :) If you want to talk with him just PM him on the forums. I don't think he has a site or anything, but he responds to pms and will call you if you want. Great guy to work with.

I bought a 2205 from Max Power and installed it over @ Victory Red's house. He has a heated garage plus he installed his so he gave me some guidance.

This RS works awesome. Being able to turn on the heated seats from inside a building is very cool. Anybody looking at a RS needs to give Max Power a call. He is knows his product very well and is easy to get ahold of.

Thanks Rick and Tony.
