I just got egt and boost gauges and want to install this weekend. I couldn't find anything via search so I'm looking for a bit of info on how/where to tap into for the boost line. The sensor came with a 1/8" hose port that I suspect needs to be t'd in somewhere, my question is where is the best place?
I'll mount the sensor under the dash per the instructions but need to run the 1/8" line in from where?
Thanks!

PS I can't wait to get these hooked up so I can test out the higher tunes!!Edited by: DMAX2DAMAX

I have autometer gauges I just installed recently and autometer didn't even include a T fitting. I went to ACE and fab'd up a nice Brass T Fitting that makes everything fit sweet and solid.
I just T'd into the line running to the Wastegate. Seems to work beautifully.

ACE is the Place! Thanks for the reply!
Is the line running to the wastegate obvious? Is it also 1/8"?

Ok, I'm a diesel newby, but I've used Vaccum/Boost
guages on supercharged & normally aspirated gas
applications (like my Trans Am).
I've seen several pictures of Vacuum/Boost guages
being used by several people here, thus my question.
Since there is no Throttle Body like on a gas burner,
does the plenum ever see a vacuum state? If not,
then why install a vacuum/boost guage? Why not
only use one with positive psi readings from
0 ~ 30psi or so?
Thanks for any insight,
T.

There is no vacuum so most people install Boost gauges, not vacuum boost gauges.

Dmax...
Cut a little part off the wastegate line and put in the tee..... You will be set...... It seems like you are ahead of schedule on the install......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif Take some pics!
