Are there any books out there related to the Duramax Engine? I have the shop manual for my truck, but that doesn't provide very many details on the operation and capabilities of the engine. I've found limited info on the web, but nothing of book quality.

Dont know of an actual book per say, what kind of info you looking for?

I'm just looking for some pleasant reading on this engine. Perhaps I'll just have to find a book on diesel engines in general. I would like to know some of the more intricate points on the Duramax. For example, what does the inside of the turbo look like and under what conditions does it operate, etc.

I wanted to follow up with this. I never did find a diesel book. However, the Banks Power site has some very nice tech articles on what makes diesels inherently different from gas engines. There is some real neat info on that site related to diesel engines.
