When engine & tranny is warm and your at a complete stop idling with the brakes applied (say, at a traffic light). Slowly ease off of the brake pedal so that you just barely start to roll forward (still maintaining some brake pressure).

Does your truck slightly lung forward? The same type of feeling as though you had a really severe brake rotor warp. I know it's not a rotor issue and it only does it once things are warmed up. It almost feels as though at some point in easing off the brake pressure the brake booster pulsates during each engine compression. Being that the booster runs off the power steering pump I wonder if this could be a power steering pump issue?

Maybe it's just a D/A normal thing??

Thanks!

Yeah, mine does it too.

Good to know - thanks. One of those things were you go - "Hey, this is probably a diesel thing" but it's nice to confirm it.

For conversation - Any idea what causes it??

I think the stock converter is just really tight, and it transmits the pulses from the motor when it's at idle (just a guess?)

I remember the first time I test drove one. I was at the light and it was doing that, I told the salesman that this thing really wants to GOooooooooooo..................

Yeah I've noticed it in my 05' GMC D/A but my old truck used to do it to, it was a 00' Chevy 1500 Silverado gasser so I don't think it's a D/A thing, I think it's just a GM thing!!!

LLY will do it. Wait till you put a bigger converter in it then you will notice it

My LLY started doing it after the reflash but it's very minor. My father in law has a 6.0 PSD ford and it will send you to the chiropractor, they even gave it a name "ROMP".

My 6.5 seems to do it a bit too.
