any tips or experience replacing the water pump would be appreciated. I started to replace past wkend but ran into trouble getting fan clutch off. I didn't have a fan-pully spanner wrench, tried using a strap wrench but I think I was trying to loosen in the wrong direction, left. I talked to 2 truck mech and they advise big wrench and solid hit in right direction should break loose. Will try again this wkend. Alldata says 2.5 hrs with air, I'll be happy at 5 or 6. Local Detroit dealers quote aprox $700.00 and want to keep my work van 8 hrs.
