There is no physical difference between the 2wd and 4wd 6.2 engines. The difference is between 1/2 ton and 3/4 or 1 ton trucks. "C" engines are 1/2 ton and "J" engines are for 3/4 and one ton applications.
The engine will bolt right up to your AT350 trans. The convertor should be changed to an aftermarket H.D. model. They are available with six bolt lugs and welded anti-balloon plate. The flywheel flexplate on the 1/2 engine may need to be changed to match the bolt pattern of the convertor. If the 2wd trans was an overdrive (700R4), the bolt pattern is different than a 350/400 trans pattern. Some flexplates are dual pattern (you may get luckey).
You will need a vacuum regulator valve (mounts on the IP) to operate the vacuum modulator on the AT350. The 700R4 doesn't have a modulator, it uses a T.V. cable. With minor modification to the brackets and linkage points, you can use the stock AT350 kickdown cable on the 6.2 injector pump.
It will fit, be patient and have fun!
