Out of no where I got a low oil warning light on my 01 lb7. It came on and has been on 100% since it came on about a month ago.

It isnt low on oil, and im completly serviced the truck (front/rear diff,t-case, trans, oil, filter, fuel filter etc) since it came on as part of regular maintenance.

Anyone know where the sensor is or what could cause the light to come on?

Its actually on as "Check engine oil level"

My '03 did this from day one.

Not sure why your light is on, but somewhere I read we have a change oil soon light and that may be why the light is on. Try stepping on the accelerator, with key on and engine off, to the floor at least 2 times. If it goes off, let us know.

Turned mine off by key in engine off pump gas pedal 3 times.:)

What is the actual oil pressure? Pressure may be low because of pump. If pressure within spec. but on the low side you may have a touchy sending unit & a change is needed. Just a thought.
