Alright so now I have been a member of this board (with injector problems) for about 2 weeks and I would love to know what would be the best permanant fix for this injector problem? Is there more than 1 type of replacement injector by GM or bosh or is it the same injector just rebuilt and swapped from my truck to yours or the next guy/gal ? Please any comments would be great. Thanks Don

one of the 'fixes' i've heard of is make sure to run a good lubricant in your fuel. once you have the problem fixed, that is.

Just about all of them are alright just go to advanced auto parts

Replaced injectors don't seem to always correct the problem. I don't think the new ones are any different. There doesn't seem to be a consensus on what the problem is. Some say heat because they are under the covers, some say poor fuel filtration (although people with extra filtration have had issues too), one member guesses that the voltage they run on (96v LB7, 48v LLY, 12v LBZ, I think). The cronic injector issues haven't seemed to go past the LB7 though. I'm just hoping to not have a problem and trade up to an LBZ at some point.

I find that the best seam to be the Redline or the Ams Lubricant and injector cleaner

I would go to the fluids forum and find that study that they did because some additives actually had a worse effect than just the fuel. I'll have to check what ones i'm using because twice now i started seeing a large balancing rate from an injector when not using an additive and as soon as i started running in again the numbers all went away and sit around -2 now.

I have 4 brand new injectors and 4 used injectors. PM me if you want to make a deal.

From what the dealer told me the remanufactured injectors have the same internals but new redesinged cases.

i run the redline just because ive always liked there products and its available to me locally. i know stanadyne is very good and has been around forever. as for results i dont know im not a scientist, but any lubricant cant hurt, the tolerances are just so tight these days
