I am not sure where to post this exactly so sorry! I have a 86 s-10 blazer 4x4 and I am going to rebuild(with better parts of course) the 700r4 in it if there is a adaptor to mount a 4BTA up to it. I am not going for extreme power or anything, does anyone have any advise or something for me? I am new to the conversion thing but am willing to work and learn! Thanks guys and gals!

i belive someone makes an adapter plate but personally i don't think that 700 will hold up to the torque. i''d say you'd be better off w/a th400.

take a look at advanced adaptors website...they make an adaptor for everything. That 4BTA motor is a fantastic motor and will be great in that blazer. Let us know how it goes.

The cheapest adapter is the one that was used to repower Frito-Lay trucks, but it tilts the engine 10°. They pulled out 350s and put 4BTs in front of 400THMs. If you don't already have an engine, the cheapest way to get one is buy the whole truck on auction. Dovebid is where I got mine. I'm putting one in a 3/4 Suburban right now. It is 2WD, so I am putting the engine straight and letting the tranny tilt.
