I am having proplems with a check engine light (p0101 MAF sensor) periodically coming on. I have heard this could be a problem with the predator 2.02 tuner. Are there any fixes for this yet?

Yep -problem with version 2.02. Call Diablo and complain. tell them you know that there is an error in the data table that causes the code to appear and ask them to email you the fix that you have heard that they have. Involves a little work on your end, but is fixable.

Yeah that happened when i had my predator too.

will the fix apply to all of the predator tunes?

No - basically you email them a copy of your stock tune and tell them what tune you usually run. They will tweak that one tune which now becomes a custom tune.

I called customer service yesterday. They told me to email the factory backup (the one stored on the programmer) and they would send the custom tune. I asked if it would apply to all four tunes. The person I talked to said that all I needed to do was request all four and they would send them. I haven’t set up the PC interface yet, when I do, I will send them the backup program and see what I get back. I will let you guys know.

I have the factory backup ready to send to Diablosport but I cant find the appropriate email address to send it to. Does anyone have the tech support (or the right person's) email address?

so the LLY predators U7185 are updateable thru internet? No mailing the unit in like the PPE.

The PC interface is pretty simple to use. According to customer service, they can email updated tunes and you simply use the pc interface software to install them on the unit. I still need to find out what email address at diablosport to send my factory tune to. Has anyone done this that knows the contact email? Please PM me if you have it.

I received the tunes from Diablosport today. It was less than a 24hr turn-around. I will be loading them into the programmer tonight and will install an updated tune (40hp) in the morning. We will see how it goes.

Just so you guys know,, i had been fighting with updating my predator and it seems that with mine you have to let it sit there attahed to the computer much longer than when it says its done... or else it wont work... so just get it loading from your computer and leave it alone for 15-20 mins

I just finished uploading the "custom tunes". It looks like once you load a custom tune on the unit, that is the only one that you have (the standard 40, 65,85, and 100hp tunes are gone). If I want to change tunes, I need to update the programmer each time with a different tune and then load it on the truck. No more changing tunes without the assistance of my computer :( . I will drive it with an updated tune tommorow. If it works (i.e. no more p0101 codes) that will be great, however, it is a bit of a bummer not to be able to simply stop the truck, pull out the tuner and change tunes.

So how is it working so far? I keep getting the P0101 code also. It doesn't seem right that you have to give up the ability to change your tune in order for them to fix what shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I'm also confused on how you interface your programmer with your computer. Is there some special cable or way to hook it up? The downloading and emailing makes me nervous,:confused: something always screws up because I'm computer illiterate. Can't you just mail the thing to them?

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.
