I know most of the guys racing are using 4wd's and doing 4wd boosted launches. However, from experience, I can NOT boost launch my 2wd without wheel spin out the Censored . So, I guess I am saying that I will probably spin the tires before slipping the transmission (upgraded to scI or scII)? Is this a reasonable assumption?

Thanks for the continued insight :ro)

The 2WD is less stressful on the tranny in most cases during a launch. With a high boost launch and a good hook from 4WD or 2WD with slicks you are not likely to slip anything, it goes straight to frag mode on the C1 clutches and apply plate.

Once you are past the holeshot and moving you can easily slip things in 2WD, I don't care what you are running you will slip the tranny in 5th before you break loose.

If you are going to be racing then skip the SCI or SCII upgrade, you are gonna need more.
