I've been having trouble with getting level in the back with my other adj. blocks that use the holes and pins system like most use. Based on sidewall observation I have been biting deeping in to the track on one side than the other. So, these are getting their first hook this evening.

Little tip when setting your stops, keep them an equal distance from the frame on both sides. Set for your minimum travel limit on the lowest side and then make your high side the same length. This will keep your frame from getting any unnescasary bind on it.

So help me out here. When I was setting them the same on both sides with my old blocks (ones like most others use), I would have 1" travel on one side and 1.5" on the other. After a pull I could look at my tires and see one side was into the track deeper than the other. So, I thought I'll fix that. I'll just set it up on level ground with exactly 1" on both sides with the above designed blocks.
Thoughts?

Your truck natrually sits lower on the drivers side, use that as your low point to set the minimum travel. Then measure the distance from the frame rail to the bottom of your stop. Set the other side exactly the same as that measuremant. As far as one tire being dug in more than the other, that could come from hitting a soft spot in the track or a number of other things, not a very consistent tuning gauge IMO.

Be easy on me... I've only got two hooks under my belt in Street Diesel. :D One 1st (against 6 Dodges and a Ford) and my 2nd pull I got 4th (driver error :(). I learned how not to drive in that 2nd pull. It's not fun getting 4th when you have a better truck than 4th.
Hopefully, I'll do well tonight. There is a Cummings in my class that is a Long Bed Dually Crew Cab that has twin CP3's, Big Turbo, Big Injectors, and a big 'o set of long traction bars. Tuff competition for my stock LB7 turbo, stock injection pump and stock injectors. I'm the only Chevy in the association. The competition definately stepped it up after I walked in and took first.
Back on subject...I wonder why it has been my driver side tire on both tracks? That is the side that is set at 1".

Do you run front weights or weight in the bed? With your weights do you have them all on the drivers side of the truck? And do you pull on a banked surface? I know when pulling on some of the racetracks around here due to the banking the downhill side seems to dig more on my truck.
I'm being easy on you trust me! ):h

No front weights allowed. Weight is in the cab behind the front seat and in the passenger floor.
The tracks are level.

Difference in the weight of the truck side to side and many other factors, plus unless you are working off of a known level surface like a garage floor you could have other factors playing into setup problems. IMO setting the distance from the frame instead of the travel amount is much more consistent because there are no factors that can affect that measurement like there came be with the travel amount.
