I have an 03 2500HD,,,went to the GM dealer for a quote on rotors and pads all the way around,,,the parts fellow says that there are 2 different rear rotors that could be on my truck,,,he says one measures 4.84 and the other 4.63,,thats if you measure through the centre of the rotor!!!
Anyone know which rotor should be on there without me having to take it off and measure it???

Best thing you could do is remove one rear tire and measure the size of the center hole with a caliper. That way you know for sure.

I'm going thru this now, as my rotors on my '03 2500HD are toast. All caked up with rust. If you pull the rear wheel, you can measure the hole size, mine was 4.84. You don't have to pull the rotor to measure it.

Don't buy the same crap GM put on there, go aftermarket. Powerslot, or RotorPros (that's what I bought). Much better product.

Ok!! Thanks guys!!! I will tear a rim off on saturday and start measuring!!!
I won't be putting the stock stuff back on,,,the dealer gave me a quote,,,told him I thought the brakes lasted fairly well,,,,almost 170000 kms (105000 miles),,so asked for a quote for the same rotors that came on it,,,,here in Canada he quoted me $611 per,,front rotor,,,not per pair,,,per rotor!!!! Sooooooooooooo,,,think im going with the kit that Stainless Steel Brakes sells!!!!

He had to mean $61.10

I mean I "only" paid $160 for a pair of rear rotors.

No it was $611.00,,,,he kind of smirked when I first told him that I wanted a price for the same rotors that came on it,,,,he smirked and said "you don;t want them",,,I told him to give me a price,,,,,it was $611.00,,,I could replace all the parts on the brake system of my Kenworth for that!!!!!

I paid $265 for four rotors. Drilled, slotted and zinc coated. Rotorpros.com. very nice looking.

Dont trust the parts guy, measure the front and rear rotors center hub hole, ON YOUR TRUCK, I'm returning a pair of rotors I bought 6 months ago, because of a mixup at the parts counter, oh well live and learn.

good luck

Good luck taking them back 6 months later. Why would you wait that long?
