Does a standard 1500 also require the white/new vent cap for the front diff? Checked out parts and apparently its the same cap thats used for all the cars, which leads me to believe that its required on a 1500 after adding synthetic fluid. Can anyone shed some light on this.

I think the need for the white cap is dictated by the synthetic itself, and not the type of truck you have (1500/2500/3500).
