The rear seat in my truck can be flipped up to make room for cargo, a feature I really found handy. About a week ago, as I was driving along, the seat just fell down and never stayed up again. Is this a common problem with extended cab trucks? How can I fix this? Thanks!

Never heard about it. Your truck should still be under warranty unless it has over 36K miles on it. Bring it in to the dealer.

I did, and they didn't fix it. I'm bringing it back to get the deformed door moulding replaced, and they said they'd do it then. I figured it should be an easy fix, so I could do it myself instead of waiting.

Usually this is caused by a lock pin that holds the rear sit in the upright position. Unless the lower half of the seat is folded forward then the pin should stay locked. Might just be a malfunction of the cable holding that pin...

How could I check that? Is there anyway to do it without taking the whole seat apart? I take it you've had this happen before.
