Ever since I had my injectors replaced I have noticed that when I am at the factory set speed limiter then engine bucks/cuts out, almost like turning the key off and on. It will continue to do that until you let off of the accelerator a little. Before the dealer worked on it, once that mph was reached it ran smoothly .It didnt matter if it was on the floor or not. I also have had a problem with what I think is a fuel starvation problem, with the Edge on level 3 or the Quad in the 110 hp setting it feels like it is starving for fuel and then it will start bucking before I get to the speed limiter or 5th gear. I run the Quad in the 90 hp setting and dont have any problems. I have tried to eliminate every thing possible, 3 set of injectors, lift pump, fuel pressure sensor, relief valve, pressure regulator. I had a bad pressure regulator that was sticking and not allowing it to reach commanded pressure.I have never limped the trans that I know of. Any suggestions?

How about the fuel filter and airfilter?

Replaced, done checked all of the obvious. It started about the time the injectors were replaced and the new revised dual element filter was installed. I have never had a problem with the filters causing any problems. I have also cleaned the Mass air flow sensor. I have watched rail pressure & pulse width and every time the pulse width gets longer the rail pressure drops to around 18,500 - 19,500 psi. It can be ramped up to 23055, but it will not hold rail pressure under load from the higher tunes.

I'm thinking your rails are running dry, hows that lift pump doing? How many gph is it?

The lift pump is basically the same one Kennedy sells, I only have 1 pump it puts out 4 psi and I have measured the flow after the filter to be 5 quarts per minute, somewhere around 70 gph. I am going to try putting another one with it.

My 01" duramax does the exact same thing, just had the headgaskets, injectors and fuel pressure regulator replaced! never bounced like that before but i dont think it is starving for fuel! runs great and has plenty of smoke with my ppe hot programmer! im guessing the ecm was maybe updated and the new program has somthing to do with this! Not a big deal!

Just a small thought, but evertime a vehicle is in for repair, does the factory reflash the computer with what they call updates?
Might be that? I know it sometimes makes trucks run alot different.

maybe you problem, try using a Baldwin filter, Kennedy uses them so they are good, fuel starvation is my guess too

My issue is corrected, new cp3. As far as the dealer reflashing every time it is in for repairs I dont think they do that. I have a printed history of my truck and it does not show any reflashing to be done.

he does describe exactly how it sounds when the computer limits the engine
