My hyrdroboost unit has finally started leaking. I knew it would happen eventually.
The stealer wants $650 for a new hydroboost unit and won't even give me the part number. There has to be a better/cheaper source for these things. I didn't want a rebuilt one. Any good deals out there.

your local parts store should be able to get you a remanufactured one, i know you said new, with a lifetime warranty on it for around the $200 range.
I see Advance has the unit for a little less than $200 with a lifetime warranty. That sounds like a much better deal than the stealer. AutoZone and Advance sell the same brand, but list different part numbers 527336 vs 527358. Wonder what the difference is? I have JD7 brakes. I'll find out soon enough which one really fits.

Advance was able to get me the right part (52-7336) and I'm back on the road for under $200. Now it's time to tackle the last battery cable that I need to replace. The one from the right battery to the starter. Looks like I will have to drop that starter to do it. Oh well, I hope to upgrade it to a #00 cable and maybe get a little better performance out of the starter.
