so i have been searching ebay and i cant find the same gm pt# remote listed as what i have.

mine is gm 15186200

i find GM 15186201

could any one tell me if the "GM 15186201" is a updated verison that will work for my truck just as well as the 15186200. i see that the canada pt # is the same, as well as the fcc id #. the ones i find are all listed to work w/ a 02-05 silverado and such, so it seems like id be ok. but figured id ask here as someone else has to of had to deal w/ this at some point.

I don't know about the part numbers but it seems to me that. The ones with the lock/unlock symbols and the ones that say lock/unlock are different.

On my 02 i couldn't get the remote with the symbols to work with it, its a different system.

Might sound stupid but thats as far as my vast knowledge goes..

My guess is that the back of the fob has a "2" instead of a "1".

For my 2004.5, the fob numbers are 15132197 for "1" and 15132198 for "2". The Canada and FCC numbers on my fobs are the same on both of them.
