: Predator or Bully Dog Powerpup?

I am going to buy either a predator or powerpup. Right now all I need is the tire size recal capabilities. Later I might stack programmers after I upgrade the tranny. I have a TST Powermax programmer now. Which of the other 2 would stack good with the TST? (TST not TTS) How does the bully dog get extra power? I have been reading that most of the programmers advance the timing and pulsewidth of the injectors while others "fool" the ECU to think the fuel pressure is low. I know that the TST Powermax changes the pulses of the injectors. Does the predator do the same thing? I am just weighing my options since I read the predator has live data on the injectors. Thanks for any help that I can get on this.

If you are going to stack, they would both be nice but I would lean more toward the Bully Dog. If you want to be able to read codes and injectors balance rates etc, then go with the predator. Or why not buy both so you can have all the scan features of the Predator and the power of the Bully Dog.. The cool thing is that the new Predators will not VIN Lock anymore so when you remove it you can sell it if you do not like it...

I have both, I use the predator for scanning, balance rates etc. I use the power pup for stacking. It runs cooler and surges much less.

Hello I have a Bully Dog Pup and this has done everything I want .
I can calibrate for tire size and add 55 hp. to 155hp.
This has worked well for me and I hope this info helps you .

Thanks for the replies. I decided on the bully dog for now. I got a pretty good deal on e-bay. It should be here next week. I kinda timed it right since I am getting my 285s put on monday. Thanks again.
