New to the board so how is it goin everyone. I registered here lookin for help with my truck but before i could post up i found the answer i was dreading(SP?) after reading a couple threads. The white/grey smoke at idle i was seeing must be failing injector(s). the 03 truck has 132K and has been doin this since about 128K. So now my question is how much longer can she go before i have a serious problem. Imust make a trip to central FLA for work on the 23rd n wont be back till mid OCT. I changed the oil a couple days ago and there was no strong fuel smell and it was good and uniformely black. Also how many hours do the dealers usually take to swap the bad injectors? Thanks for the help.

its an 8 hour job, but they can take up to a week to do it because they have to wait on parts, but you can get luck and have it done in 1-2 days

:welcome: to the Place! Sorry to hear about your truck, but the techs should be able to get it fixed for you under warranty. If any dealership trys to give you the run around, find a new one. Good luck!

welcome to the site, sorry you didn't join just to surf,n say hello.it sounds like your on the ball though, changing your oil.contaminated oil would be your biggest concern, and it looks like you already know that, good for you.like other member said,if dealer gives you any crap, just go to a new dealer,i didn't look at your sig but, make sure your bone stock right down to the delco air filter.good luck
p.s. fill out your sig for the future.

Obviously keep an eye out for the other symptoms, hard starts, loss of power, or fuel in the crankcase (watch your oil pressure and level!).
