I'm looking at a used 06 with 57k and plan on trying to get the dealer to change all the fluids before I buy. When does the T case usually rub thru and what should I try to get the dealer to do to prevent it or make it happen later?

Do a quick search on T case rub. Everyone in "the club" has a different story. Anywhere from low teens for mileage to hundreds of thousands. Knock on wood, I'm not a member of the club yet but I'm hoping that I nver join it either and I'm at 130k miles.

My 04 rubbed through @ 150,000 kms. Not sure if there is anything you can do to predict it, unless you change something inside - i think there is a solution. I wouldn't be paranoid about it, if it does happen worry about it then - you might not even own the same truck by then.

T-case rub has shown up as early as 40,000 miles.

You will not get the dealer to do anything other than say "Buy my extended warranty"

Get the truck, but the M/A Pump housing, or the Kennedy plate, and install it and enjoy the truck!
