I'd like to eliminate my vacuum pump in a 94 6.5L. I've read the faqs, but i'd like some more info. Heres what i know, New belt, mechanical wastegate, chip. Anything else? What are the ups and downs and is there anything i should know ahead of time? I'm doing it because right now i have no vacuum. Am i better off to eliminate the pump or replace it? Thanks guys.

Yes ,eliminate the troublesome vacuum pump/waste gate system. You can buy a TurboMaster & belt for less than a "NEW" vacuum pump. Skip hop up,chips,except to deal with eliminating vacuum pump,EGR system, & getting an "F" upper & lower intakes Then also, till you have all possible ways to prevent over heating installed. Then you can go for it !!! Getter done!!!!
