Seems most people are putting the gps antenna under the dash or on the dash. Was wondering which worked best or another location?
Thanks for the feedback.

On the roof, you can remove the third brake light and poke the wire through there, then through the back of the headliner. Takes about 15 minutes to do that and run it all the way to the head unit. I've done this on several vehicles including XM/Sirius antenna's and haven't had a problem with leaking or losing signal.

Thanks jonyb,

But how do I get it to the head unit?

The easiest way is to run it down the passenger side. You can start in the back working to the front, just tucking it in on the sides. Go down the A-pillar, drop it through from the top of the dash (with the pillar cover off), drop the glovebox, pull it through, then run it across to the radio. The compartment to the right of the climate control snaps out so you can get behind it to go from glovebox to there to radio.

You can also run the same way down the driver's side, then once your past the pillar go behind the instrument cluster then to the radio.

If you're worried about the headliner, the wire tucks in. You don't have to take anything apart, other than unsnapping the b-pillar where the grab handle between the doors is, but that's only undoing one or two so you can get it completely concealed.

^That is exactly where I installed mine. I cannot attest to whether one mounting location works better than the other since I have not moved the GPS antenna but I do know I have never had a signal issue with mine being mounted there.

Thanks for all the replies. It obviously looks easier to install under the dash or on top.
