There is a thread about that truck in the Off Topic forum..someone said he's a member here, but so far he hasn't spoke up...maybe due to the responses that were posted about the vid..

That is pointless IMO. I dont understand going that high. But hey do what ya want when ya got the money I guess. I wouldnt even go more than 4" personally just takes the drivability for everyday use and economy away with more than that. Yea some trucks look good when big but not that big.

compensation? thats the only reason i can think of for goin over 8-10" of lift and even thats a little much.

he needs to raise the rear of the truck up a little more.

Rediculious! I would LOVE to hit the sand with that thing...assuming that once I broke that driveline I would have a trailer to bring it back on! ;)

On another note, I can't even imagine the ticket that you would get from driving it around. I had a buddy who had 49s on a 36 inch lift on an Excursion. Almost every time he took it out (on public roads) he would get cited for a variety of things. Overhight was the most common ticket in addition to the usual no mudflaps, etc.

What state is that legal in???? I would never do it to my truck, use it as a truck to much, but does look sweet.

Texas. The only lift law here is headlight height I believe. No mudflaps or flares or anything required

wow, I knew it was coming. one of those "he must be compesating for something" comments. grow up dude. plenty of people lift their truck over 10 inches. just personal preference, no need to start sayin he has a small penis because of it.

by the way, I think it belongs to somebody in california

Either or I think its pretty cool. Of course yeah you'll prolly get pulled over within the first 2 miles but you'll look cool driving it.

I think this falls under the 'to each their own' clause of life. I guess someone has to push the limits so all the rest of us with less money and more utility use for our vehicles can see 'what if?'.

Wonder what the possibilities are that he either broke the front driveshaft and/or is waiting for a custom length one to arrive?:confuzeld

On the positive side, it looks like oil changes would be very simple to perform.
