Does anyone have any idea how long a turbo will last under normal conditions? A friend told me they will give up at about 250k miles....

Let it idle down every time and a turbo will last a good long time.Add a quality air filter and synthetic oil and it should last as long as the truck it's in!

Well thats one thing I haven't done, but yet I don't tow that much, so I normally shut down as soon as I pull up to park, I do use Amsoil and bypass filters.

What a couple of minutes gonna' hurt?I always do it.

if ya got gauges, let your egt's drop down to at least 400*, i usually let mine go down to 350*, then shut off. up to you.
